Ok, so I am a new enthusiast for electric bikes. I live in India so this is my journey in electric bikes in India. My goal is two fold, firstly, build myself an electric bike and secondly, create a DIY kit for the masses for India.
Building myself an electric bike
My first goal is to build myself an electric bike. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for my electric bike - so my budget is limited to INR 10000 (or $166). I want to as a starter convert my existing bicycle into an electric bike. I don't need to race in it but at least travel 40 kms round trip from my home to work and back. I also don't want it to be super slow that I am slower than most bicycles.
Electric bike DIY kit
My second goal is to build a DIY kit that I can sell in India for people who want to convert their own bicycles to an electric bicycle. Although too early to state what it would cost but I definitely want the entry level kit to be less than INR 10000 (or $166) so that most average individuals in India can afford.
